Sample Delivery Driver at Seaboard Foods

JOB PURPOSE 

The Sample Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering samples to various locations. This position includes loading, unloading and driving a truck to locations, backing into tight spaces, unloading supplies and keeping up log book. 

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS  

• Drives HD ½ ton truck to destination, loads/unloads trailers with and without assistance. 

• Communicates effectively on when deliveries will be made at each location.  

• Keeps general maintenance and mileage logs accurate and submits them timely to management for review. 

• Comply with all Processes, Procedures and Policies, following Bio-Security flow. 

• Builds and establishes professional relationships with customers such as farm & plant employees.  

• Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.  

• Inspects truck and trailer for defects before and after trips and submits report on condition. 

• Reports accidents immediately to supervisor/dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred 

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience   

• Clear motor vehicle record (MVR)
