Recruiting Assistant - Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Recruiting Assistant supports the recruiter with various tasks related to the hiring process. This individual participates in the daily functions of recruiting and will be the designated back for the Recruiter.  

Must demonstrate high standards of courtesy, performance, human relations skills, personal appearance, and professionalism at all times.  


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College courses in human resources management or equivalent human resources work related experience preferred.

Work Experience

  • Two years’ experience in recruitment or Human Resources preferred.  

Qualifications

    Strong organizational and communication skills.

    Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Excellent time management ability.

    Working-level knowledge of the English language including reading, writing and speaking.  


POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Initiates the electronic onboarding process using the ATS to include introductory email, required documentation and applicable consent forms.

    Meets with new employees to ensure documentation is completed (I-9, offer letter, job description, W-4, Direct Deposit, Pysix, Epic, IT access form, confidentiality agreement).

    Conducts onsite fingerprint scanning for new hires.

    Initiates criminal background check using the ATS and Nevada Automated Background Check System (NABS).

    Schedules pre-employment physical and drug screen with Occupational Health Department and monitors compliance.

    Schedules new employees for General Orientation.

    Creates new and replacement ID badges.

    Assists Recruiter with scheduling candidate interviews.

    Sources job applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates. 

    Maintain and update candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS). 

    Assists with preparation of offer letters, posting job advertisements, and other administrative duties related to recruitment. 

    May assist with generating reports related to recruitment activity. 

    Maintain an accurate, organized, and detailed candidate database.
