What you’ll do:
- Select and mix paint colors to match project specifications.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed to ensure a smooth and clean finish.
- Apply paints, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
- Apply caulking, surface coatings, and perform minor cosmetic repairs.
- Disassemble and reassemble building components, including windows, doors, jams, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting (preferred).
- At least 1 year experience as a Painter or Stainer or similar transferable experience in a related field.
- Proficient in the use of brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
- Familiar with paint types, mixing ratios and matching colors, application techniques (streak avoidance), mixing and matching stains, and the technical precision to achieve uniform coverage (preferred).
- Familiar with a variety of wood types, stains, and finishing techniques; knowledgeable about factors that affect product quality outcomes such as temperature, humidity, and wood grain (preferred).
- Perform heavy physical demands (i.e. lift and move doors that can weigh up to 100lbs occasionally, 50lbs frequently, and 20lbs constantly).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
