The Neuropsychiatry & TMS Group , in partnership with Beacon Behavioral Partners, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our multidisciplinary team in Tampa, FL. This vital role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in both the assessment and management of acute and chronic psychiatric conditions.
We are a premier outpatient private psychiatry practice located in Tampa, seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our team.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and in-office. The schedule includes a one-hour lunch break and one hour allocated for administrative duties, with seven hours of direct clinical care daily.
We provide 60-minute initial evaluations and 20 minute follow-up appointments, with a strict no double-booking policy to ensure quality patient care. We focus on adult patients although PMHNP has the option of treating children and/or adolescents as well.
Our patient population is primarily composed of working adults seeking high-quality psychiatric services. We accept all major commercial insurance plans as well as Medicare and Tricare.
We utilize advanced treatments such as rTMS and spravato in all of our locations.
The practice uses a highly intuitive electronic medical record (EMR) and e-prescribing system; as well as several applications for day to day operations. Strong computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state laws and organizational policies.
- Provide patient education on disease management, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement activities to enhance clinical practice.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) license in the state of FL .
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Anesthetist, or Nurse Midwife by a nationally recognized certifying body.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
Physical Demands:
This job requires employees to have a full range of physical capabilities, including the ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, and maintain good eye-hand coordination.
