This is a paid hourly position with housing provided, perfect for students looking to gain hands-on experience, build professional connections, and contribute to a company that values innovation and integrity.
- This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, IA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the development and continuous improvement project of supply and demand planning best practices, KPIs, procedures, and work instructions
- Develop AX work instructions and provide training as needed.
Ensure optimum flow of materials and information through production drive improvement in the supply chain - Assist supply chain team with the management of planning applications, including data validation, system maintenance, report generation and ad-hoc analysis
- Analyze data, including enterprise requirements planning information (material, work order, work center, inventory, and forecast) and prepare consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to improve plant/product line supply chain execution
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and inefficiencies in production planning and materials utilization processes
- Support and lead actions necessary to attain S&OP maturity, such as data collection, demand evaluation, fulfillment measurement, and integration assessment.
- Support Enterprise Services managers in working with all aspects of the Kent Supply Chain including procurement, supply chain, contract administration, enterprise resource planning and inventory management
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment and areas
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working towards a degree in Supply Chain Management, related Business or Engineering Degree
- A data-driven approach to problem solving
- Word, Excel and Access skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Strong analytical skills
- Must be able to analyze data and draw conclusions for follow-up reporting
