Specialist, Early Childhood at Brownsville Independent School District

2-Year Grant Position – Subject to funding.

REQUIRED:

• Master's Degree
• Valid Texas Teacher's Elementary Certificate;
• Three (3) years teaching experience.

PREFERRED:

•  Neuhaus Language Enrichment I and/or Esperanza trained;
•  Degree in Education or Curriculum and Instruction;
•  Valid Texas Supervisor, Administrator, Mid-Management or Principal Certificate;
•  Bilingual teaching endorsement or certificate; and
•  Early Childhood Certification;
•  Knowledge of Objective-Based Curriculum System;
•  Effective knowledge in Curriculum and Instruction;
•  Experience in effective teaching research;
•  Experience of Curriculum Planning, Testing and Evaluation;
•  Experience in In-Service training;
•  Knowledge of Effective Teaching and Research Based Practices;
•  Computer Literacy Experience; 
•  Proficient in Spanish Language;
• Three-Tier Reading/Response to Intervention (RTI) Model;
• CIRCLE Training;
• Texas Reading Academy.
