Position Title: Speech Pathology Facilitator
Location: Central Elementary School, Jackson, NC
Work Schedule: Part-time; Monday and Tuesday (full day), Wednesday (half day); on school days only
Status: Part-time - No Benefits
Position Summary
The Speech Pathology Facilitator provides on-site assistance to students receiving virtual speech therapy services. This position ensures that the necessary equipment functions properly, supports students in accessing their online sessions with the Speech-Language Pathologist, and monitors student participation during virtual therapy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and test technology (computers, headphones, microphones, etc.) before each student’s scheduled session.

Assist students in logging in to virtual speech sessions and confirm connection with the Speech-Language Pathologist.

Troubleshoot minor technical problems as needed to maintain session flow.

Supervise students while they are engaged in online speech therapy sessions, ensuring focus and participation.

Communicate promptly with the Speech-Language Pathologist or designated staff regarding scheduling issues, equipment concerns, or student needs.

Maintain a professional and supportive environment for students receiving services.

Follow school policies and procedures regarding student supervision and confidentiality.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience working with children in a school setting preferred but not required.

Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate video conferencing platforms (training provided).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism in working with staff and students.
Work Conditions

Works directly with students during scheduled speech sessions in the school setting.
