Description
Primary Functions: Perform in all areas of the Support Services including assisting with all image archiving, IRAs, online account and certificate opening, and ATM and mobile deposit verification for third-party vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Have a broad knowledge of Credit Union services and policies, and the ability to answer inquiries of a general nature.
- Responsible for staying current on all products and services offered by the credit union and being proactive in offering these products and services when applicable.
- Proof all ATM and mobile deposit batches and verify they are in balance.
- Work with accounting in researching out-of-balance situations; take appropriate actions when needed concerning the check processing.
- Handle and process all remote transactions, including but not limited to mobile and ATM deposits and online account openings.
- Process all Certificate and IRA transactions requested by members remotely.
- Process all Certificate requests from CPFS, including setting up IRA, Roth conversions, certificate ladders, and opening accounts.
- Process all garnishments and levies.
- Responsible for filing all CTRs and following up with staff for corrections and additional information.
- Respond to all cpfcu.com email correspondence and route to appropriate departments when needed.
- Respond to digital banking message center correspondence.
- Process and handle all back-office functions, including, but not limited to, daily, weekly, and monthly reports, certificates, IRAs, death claims, deposit verifications, account research, account requests, closed accounts, and returned statements.
- Assist with general calls from staff and members pertaining to back-office work.
- Work with all employees on check copies, statements, receipts, and all other document requests.
- Complete required and recommended educational courses; Follow all rules and regulations as applicable to job function, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School graduate
- One or more years of experience with a financial institution
- One or more years of experience working with IRAs.
- Familiar with data processing systems and Windows is an asset
- Ability to work independently, quickly and accurately
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with members and co-workers in all areas of the Credit Union
