Secondary Special Education Teacher at Delta Schoolcraft Intermediate School District

The Escanaba Area Public School District seeks qualified candidates for the following position:

Special Education Teacher

Location:         Escanaba Area Public Schools (potential for multiple vacancies K-12)

Start Date:      2025-2026 School Year

Reports to:      Principal/Director

Salary:            Commensurate with experience and/or contractual requirements

Note: Certified teachers are granted full credit for teaching experience performed under contract in an accredited school.  Teachers holding a valid certificate in an area other than Special Education may be eligible for reimbursment of tuition costs toward earning a Special Education endorsement and are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an approriate field
• Valid Michigan Teacher Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful teaching experience in a public school district, either through regular employment, student teaching, long-term substitute teaching, or internship
