Position Summary
We’re seeking a hands-on, creative Sous Chef to help run our compact kitchen, which features a simple, high-quality menu of breakfast sandwiches and a straightforward lunch menu. You’ll be involved in every aspect of food preparation, from prepping ingredients and cooking to ensuring consistency, quality, and speed of service. This is a role where versatility is key—you’ll assist with ordering, maintain food safety standards, and contribute ideas for specials or seasonal items. Ideal candidates are resourceful, organized, and passionate about delivering great food from a small but mighty kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating menu items and daily specials, ensuring consistent plating and portion quality.
  • Serve as kitchen lead initially and supervise a small team, including scheduling, training, and performance coaching.
  • Maintain kitchen operations to meet food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory and assist in ordering food supplies; monitor costs and minimize waste.
  • Support daily prep, special events, and seasonal menu shifts.
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback collection and process streamlining.


  • Qualifications
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • 2 years of culinary experience, supervisory and/or management experience, preferably in the golf industry.
  • State certified and/or Serve Safe certified.
  • Demonstrated experience and capability in the areas of staff management and food control.
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required, including nights/weekends.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
