As an Inventory Movements Accounting Student, you will support the tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of inventory movements across terminals, ensuring accuracy in billing, tax compliance, and margin validation.
The Inventory Movements Accounting team is responsible for monitoring all inventory activity across geographical terminals, ensuring that product movements are accurately recorded, customers are billed correctly, taxes are applied, and inventory is reconciled. The team also validates monthly margins and ensures inventory costs align with forecasts. This small but highly integrated team of four operates out of our Home Office and works closely with refinery, Sales, Tax, Pricing, Customer Support, Terminal Ops and other inventory groups across the business.
Responsibilities:
Manage inventory accounting for the marine gas oil (MGO) tank at Courtney Bay, including receiving inventory into the subledger, billing customers, and verifying monthly margins
Collaborate with Sales and Tax teams to ensure accurate financial and regulatory reporting
File weekly and monthly reports with the U.S Energy Information Administration (EIA), monthly reports with Stats Canada.
Consolidate manual reporting processes and contribute to automation initiatives
Document and maintain process workflows for the MGO terminal, EIA and Stats Canada reporting.

Your Experience:
Currently enrolled in a Business Administration program completing 2nd or 3rd year of study with a strong interest in accounting or finance
Must have completed at least 1 year of post-secondary education and be returning to school
