YOUR ROLE:
Come join us as Communications and Marketing Assistant. The Communications and Marketing Assistant works with the Corporate Communications team to help deliver integrated corporate communications and engagement programs across Thales Australia. This role supports the execution of regular, impactful communication aligned with the company’s strategic priorities. The position operates at both hands-on and support levels, coordinating communication channels, events, content, and reporting in partnership with specialist teams.
Working at our Sydney Olympic Park office, on Wann-gal Land, your exciting new career opportunity will see you:
Supporting the planning, updating, and coordination of an integrated communications calendar for internal and external activities in line with corporate priorities.
Assisting with the drafting, editing and scheduling of communications materials (announcements, articles, presentations, emails, internal memos, social media posts, and event collateral) following brand guidelines and messaging standards.
Coordinating logistics for company-wide events (e.g., Town Halls, corporate events, hybrid meetings, site-specific activities) including preparation of supporting communications resources.
Working with the Corporate Communications team to deliver regular internal newsletters, employee engagement campaigns, and social impact program communications.
Assisting with social media and web content creation and scheduling, ensuring alignment with external campaigns and CEO/executive positioning.
Maintaining records and approvals for internal and external communication materials in accordance with privacy, brand, and governance requirements.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field is highly preferred.
Experience (1–3 years) in a communications or marketing support capacity, preferably in a complex or matrixed organisation.
Demonstrated ability to create and edit written content for different audiences and channels.
Skills in supporting the planning and delivery of company events, campaigns, and newsletters.
Experience using digital publishing, social media and content management tools.
Ability to coordinate administrative tasks and maintain meticulous records.
Professionalism, integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
Adaptability, initiative and willingness to work collaboratively in a team.
