The Role

We’re looking for a Creative Lead with strong strategic and design vision, someone who thinks big, sets the pace creatively, and knows how to guide a brand through moments that matter. You bring creative depth, a refined eye, and the ability to shape compelling narratives from concept through to execution. From brand campaigns to high-impact shoots, you lead with clarity, stay close to culture, and consistently elevate the work.

In this role, you’ll report to the Head of Marketing and lead a small team of designers and brand creatives, shaping the visual direction for The Commons’ workspace, hospitality, and wellness brands. As the most senior creative in the marketing team, you’ll be responsible for how the brand shows up in the world, with a strong focus on digital and social channels.

You’ll operate at a strategic level, translating business goals into creative ideas that are as commercially effective as they are culturally relevant. You bring originality, direction, and consistency to every touchpoint, helping keep the brand distinctive and future-focused.

Key responsibilities

  • Set the creative vision and lead the execution of visual content across campaigns, social media, and digital platforms.
  • Direct and oversee end-to-end shoot production, including casting, styling, and art direction, ensuring all content reflects The Commons elevated standards.
  • Develop and deliver brand campaigns that blend strategy, concept, and craft, with a focus on storytelling and cultural relevance.
  • Manage and mentor a team of creatives, fostering growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Act as a guardian of brand voice and visual consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Proactively identify emerging design, digital and creative trends, bring fresh ideas and creative energy into the team.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across brand, product, and operations to ensure creative supports broader business goals.

What are we looking for?

  • 6+ years experience in a creative experience, ideally within a consumer-facing brand or lifestyle business.
  • Qualifications in advertising, visual design, marketing, or related discipline.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
  • Expertise in creative direction for photography and videography production, and navigating the full production process, from brief to styling to final delivery.
  • Proven leadership in creative direction and campaign ideation across digital, content and brand.
  • Experience leading and managing creative teams.
  • Strength in visual storytelling, campaign ideation, and digital-first thinking
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and video editing tools
  • A strong aesthetic sensibility and a natural eye for detail.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple departments and suppliers.
  • Passion for brand-building, creative innovation, and delivering work that connects.
