Pioneer the Future of Human-Robot Interaction
We're an ambitious early-stage robotics startup that achieved the extraordinary: designing, building, and launching our first robot in just 8 months. Now we're looking for a visionary Senior UI/UX Designer to help us build the most intuitive, delightful user experiences that will empower the entire physical AI community.
About Us & This Role
You'll be joining a fast-moving team of builders and innovators who are redefining what's possible in robotics. As one of our early design hires, you'll have unprecedented influence in shaping how humans interact with physical AI systems - from mobile apps and web platforms to robot interfaces and emerging interaction paradigms.
This isn't just another SaaS design role. You'll be designing experiences that bridge the digital and physical worlds, creating interfaces that make advanced robotics accessible to everyone.
What You'll Do:
Pioneer new interaction models for human-robot communication, going beyond traditional UI patterns
Design end-to-end experiences spanning mobile apps, web dashboards, robot interfaces, and physical controls
Lead user research to understand how people want to interact with robots and physical AI systems
Build design systems from the ground up that work across digital and physical touchpoints
Collaborate directly with robotics engineers, AI researchers, and hardware teams to create seamless experiences
Own the entire design process from concept through implementation, with minimal oversight
Define UX standards for the emerging physical AI industry
Work closely with founders to shape product strategy and company vision
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience:
5+ years of professional UI/UX design with a portfolio showcasing complete product development cycles
Proven experience building products from 0 to 1 - you've taken ideas from concept to launched product
Expert proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools (Principle, ProtoPie, or similar)
Strong foundation in both web and mobile app design (iOS/Android) with shipped products
Independent operator who thrives with high autonomy and minimal direction
Systems thinking - ability to design cohesive experiences across multiple platforms and devices
Excellent communication - you can present ideas clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points:
Experience designing for emerging technologies (AR/VR, IoT, robotics, AI tools)
Background in industrial design or physical product design
Understanding of technical constraints in robotics/hardware development
Interest or background in AI/ML applications
Motion design and animation skills
Front-end development knowledge (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
Have 3D app design experience
Your Portfolio Must Show:
Complete case studies with clear problem definition, process, and outcomes
Cross-platform design work showing consistency across web, mobile, and other interfaces
Complex user flows that solve real user problems elegantly
Visual design excellence with strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Design systems or component libraries you've built
Evidence of user research and data-driven design decisions
Why This Role is Extraordinary
🚀 Ground Floor Opportunity Join as one of our first design hires and shape the design culture of a fast-growing robotics company
🤖 Cutting-Edge Problems Design experiences that have never existed before - you'll be inventing new interaction paradigms
⚡ Rapid Impact In a lean startup, your designs go from concept to reality in weeks, not months
🌍 Massive Market Help build the foundation for how millions will interact with physical AI in the coming decade
🔬 Learn from the Best Work alongside world-class robotics engineers and AI researchers pushing technological boundaries

Our Design Philosophy
We believe the future of robotics isn't just about building smarter machines - it's also about creating seamless, intuitive experiences that make advanced technology feel natural and accessible. Great design will be the difference between robots that sit in labs and robots that genuinely help people in their daily lives or work.
We're looking for someone who gets excited about solving problems that don't have established patterns yet.
What We Offer
Competitive salary + significant equity in a fast-growing robotics company
Ground-floor opportunity to shape the future of an entire industry
