Job Description:

The Benefits Specialist manages the day-to-day execution of employee benefits, ensuring accurate data processing, vendor coordination, and payroll integration. This role keeps our benefit programs running smoothly and compliantly, directly impacting employee experience and financial accuracy. Working within the Benefits team and reporting to the Benefits Manager, this position partners closely with payroll, finance, and external vendors to resolve issues, maintain compliance, and deliver reliable support to employees.

  • Benefit files and reports are processed accurately and on time with minimal errors.
  • Vendor and payroll partners receive clean, reconciled data and issues are resolved quickly.
  • Employees receive timely communications and support for escalated benefits questions or reminders.
  • Invoices, contributions, and funding reports are tracked, reconciled, and submitted accurately each cycle.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in benefits administration
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data cleanup) and comfort handling large datasets
  • Experience working with HRIS and vendor platforms
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills to coordinate with vendors, payroll, and internal partners
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and compliance while handling sensitive employee data
  • Candidates must be based in the Eastern or Central Time Zones for team collaboration and operational alignment

The annual salary range for this position is $59,000-$96,025. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
