Onsite Support Analyst
Onsite-Norwood, OH location
As an Onsite Support / IT Network Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in managing, optimizing, and securing our organization’s computer network system.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical Support - Responding to user queries and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Quickly addressing concerns and examining application and equipment problems. Performs 2nd-level user help desk activities, individual coaching and trainings and be involved in end user engagement.
- Vendor Management - Communicates with vendors and service providers on an accountable level to solve local IT problems or cooperate with centralized IT in that respect. Drives IT change projects on-site or in the region.
- Communication Management - Manage Voice/Video/Conference Support
- Information Security - Protect information assets & intellectual property. Supports change-release processes and implementation of IT security guidelines.
- Business Continuity Planning - Prepares the plan to restore core infrastructure functions when interrupted by an unplanned incident; while minimizing the impact to our employees, their families, customers, and suppliers
- Innovation - Keeps abreast of developments in industry regarding IT trends and technologies
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or 2+ years of experience in IT analysis or a related role.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently with documentation
• Proficiency in understanding and working with protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, VLANS, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Nagios for monitoring network performance and diagnosing issues.
• Understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
• Relevant certifications.
• Experience in network administration.
• Advanced Network Design: Experience in designing complex network architectures tailored to industrial environments1.
• Cloud Networking: Familiarity with cloud services and integration with on-premises networks.
• IoT Integration: Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) devices and their network requirements
• Strategic Thinking: Capability to plan long-term network strategies that align with business goals
• Project Management: Ability to manage network-related projects, including upgrades and new implementations
