Group Controller at TPG Hotels & Resorts

About the job

We’re hiring a Group Controller to join a fast-paced, growth-focused organization. This role supports the VP Finance by owning core accounting functions and leading a team of accountants for a specified group of hotels.

The ideal candidate is a process-driven accounting leader with strong financial reporting experience, deep knowledge of GAAP, and a track record of leading teams through close, audit, and reporting cycles. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely reporting and helping drive process improvements across the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Oversee financial reporting (internal/external)
• Manage and mentor Staff Accountants (2–3 direct reports)
• Review P&Ls, weekly cash positions and payables, monthly tax calculations, and treasury-related functions
• Review monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet schedules for completion and thoroughness
• Ensure GAAP compliance and standardize accounting policies and procedures
• Partner cross-functionally and with external auditors during annual audit
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• 7+ years in progressive accounting roles, including team leadership
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting background
• Experience in multi-unit or hospitality environments required
• Skilled in process improvement and internal controls
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Collaborative team player, providing direction and support to achieve objectives
