Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Technician will be fully certified to climb and work on cellular towers. The Maintenance Technician will have an expert level of experience in troubleshooting wireless/cellular equipment & system issues
Essential Functions:
- Ensures a safe work environment
- Work with basic hand tools and safety equipment
- Maintain daily paperwork required for the site
- Implement and follow through with job instructions provided by leadership
- Ensure safety and quality control requirements at your sites and with your crew
- Coordinate with customer representative for site-related activities and maintain a good working relationship with a customer representative.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and actively train/promote learning to all crew members.
- Always maintain equipment and vehicles in an operational condition.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:
- Tech 1 No req.
- Tech 2 2 years of experience as a tower technician
- Tech 3 4 years of experience as a tower technician
Preferred and Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Have knowledge of and ability to meet and pass all DOT requirements
- Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid DL
- OSHA 10
- Knowledge and experience of major carrier sites including upgrades, Electrical, DAS, Small Cells, etc.
Skills Required:
- Ability to take and understand written and verbal direction. Ability to take and understand written and verbal direction.
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawing and support documentation, RF data sheets, and basic electrical concepts. be able to communicate both verbally and electronically.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail
- Hard working and self-motivated
- Ability to work at heights greater than 100 ft.
Direct/Indirect Supervisory Responsibility:
- Coordinate with other technicians and engineers to ensure proper system operation
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel Required:
- Ability to work in all weather conditions except for unsafe or extreme weather conditions.
- Physically able to climb 1000 vertical feet per day
- Ability to travel and work in remote locations outside of the metropolitan area.
- Desire and ability to climb structures to heights in excess of 300’ while carrying loads in excess of 50 pounds.
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Travel is required 50% of the time
