THE OPPORTUNITY
Amylyx Pharmaceuticals is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics, to join our growing Commercial team. This individual will play a critical role in shaping data-driven decision-making across our lead indication with Avexitide in Post-Bariatric Hypoglycemia (PBH) and future pipeline programs across assets. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical thinker with deep expertise in healthcare data, capable of independently executing complex analyses and translating insights into actionable strategies. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Supply Chain, and to present findings directly to senior leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead commercial analytics efforts across PBH and pipeline products, supporting strategic planning and operational execution.
- Independently analyze and interpret healthcare datasets (e.g., claims, specialty pharmacy, EMR) using SQL, Excel, and other tools to uncover insights on patient journeys, provider behavior, and market dynamics.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that support commercial performance tracking and forecasting.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, compelling presentations for cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Partner with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Supply Chain to align analytics with business needs and strategic priorities.
- Support launch readiness and post-launch performance tracking for new products and indications.
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition and infrastructure improvements to enhance analytics capabilities.
- Collaborate with external vendors and data providers to ensure quality and relevance of third-party data sources.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging data methodologies to continuously elevate the analytics function.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years BA/BS, 3+ years MA/MS
- Prior experience in consulting (with focus in pharmaceutical industry), or in a commercial operations / analytics function at a pharmaceutical company
- Experience working with healthcare data – claims data, EMR/EHR, specialty pharmacy data etc.
- Experience with financial modeling / forecasting
- Experience in SQL / Other Database Language
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working in rare diseases is a plus
- Experience supporting multiple brands / indications is a plus
- Experience with Python is a plus
- Experience in advanced market segmentation approaches (e.g., HCP, patient) is a plus
WORK LOCATION AND CONDITIONS
- At Amylyx, we proudly support remote work opportunities within the United States. - You will be expected to travel to our corporate location in Cambridge, MA several times a year and attend other company-related events as necessary and requested.
