Shift/Schedule: 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Basic Function: Pack, move, and inspect the product before it is moved to distribution for shipping.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, move materials into production areas using hand trucks, stack and seal cartons and boxes.
• Must know fasteners by product code and necessary markings to check cartons and boxes for accuracy/correctness.
• Promptly and properly records production count.
• Carry, either by hand or cart, empty cartons up to the production area.
• Load empty cartons in the auto-pack carton rack.
• Accurately stamp cartons with the operator's number.
• Accurately count and record production. Inspect finished production for visual defects (full carton, correct carton label, correct bar code label, etc.).
• Visually inspect each carton before they're sealed to ensure the carton is full.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be organized and able to keep accurate records of production count and materials moved.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Must have the ability to work with little supervision.
• Must be able to inspect fasteners before placing in complete box.

Requirements:

• Must have proficient math skills and be able to read, write, add, and subtract.
• Must be able to operate a forklift, lift truck, electric dolly, chain hoist, stampers, and hand tape-sealer.
• Must have above average manual dexterity.
• 100% of the time, must be able to lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry +/- 75 pounds.
• Determined by area, might be required to stand 100% of the time throughout their shift.
• Must be able to withstand continuous exposure to disagreeable noise, dirt, and fumes within the OSHA allowance.Must be comfortable working in an environment where there is possible exposure to lost-time accidents, including but not limited to the hands, arms, feet, or back.
