JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Research potential supplier targets for direct and indirect expenditures and negotiate favorable terms.
Create and place purchase orders; develop and refine requisition and ordering processes.
Reconcile receipts and drive resolution of any discrepancies.
Assist with creation and implementation of inventory control procedures.
Provide analyses on costs and implement cost reduction activities.
Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and maintain strong communications.
Project management focus from inception through completion.
Assist with wide array of additional functions as necessary within rapid growth startup.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or similar program.
Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience, preferably focused mainly of electronic components.
Familiarity with major electronics manufacturers and distributors.
Understanding of engineering design process; experience with PLM tools.
Experience using an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Strong knowledge of procurement concepts, practices, and procedures, including purchasing, negotiation, commercial contracts, and cost breakdown.
Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
Strong analytical skills, with ability to back up conclusions with data.
Time management skills, with ability to separate the important tasks from the noise.
Sense of urgency, with ability to work well under pressure.
Strong Excel skills, with the ability to present concise data to internal and external stakeholders.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Familiarity with component library management software.
Experience with consumables.
A/P reconciliation and management.
Logistics and export control.
Experience wearing multiple hats at a rapidly growing startup company.
