Position Summary / Essential Functions:
Schedule Development & Management
- Develop and publish daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Optimize production sequences to minimize changeovers, maximize throughput, and ensure efficient utilization of machinery (e.g., roll formers, welding stations, assembly lines, and crating).
- Adjust schedules proactively in response to unforeseen events such as material shortages, equipment breakdowns, quality issues, parts orders, or expedited customer requests.
Material Coordination
- Collaborate closely with the Purchasing and Inventory Control teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor material readiness and communicate potential delays or impacts on the production schedule.
Capacity Planning
- Work with Production Supervisors and the Supply Chain & Operations Manager to understand current and future production capabilities, labor availability, and equipment constraints.
- Identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions to optimize flow and meet production targets.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report on key production metrics, including schedule adherence, on-time delivery (OTD), production efficiency, and capacity utilization.
- Analyze variances and root causes for deviations from the schedule.
Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the central point of contact for production scheduling, effectively communicating schedule plans, changes, and impacts to Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Purchasing departments.
- Facilitate daily/weekly production meetings to review schedules, address issues, and align departmental efforts.
Continuous Improvement
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance scheduling processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation and workflow.

- Possess strong attention to detail, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex/incomplete data.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

Job Type: Full-time / Salary
Pay: $50,000-75,000
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
