The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a driven professional with solid experience in business development who thrives on proactive prospecting, client engagement, and represents the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and client events. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities in the tolling and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) industry. The BDR will confidently present the company’s solutions and products, qualify opportunities, and collaborate with senior members of the Business Development team to advance the sales pipeline and support the company’s long-term success.
Responsibilities:Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Research and identify potential clients in target markets.
- Execute outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and event-based networking.
- Qualify leads and schedule meetings for Account Managers and Business Development Directors.
Industry Engagement & Client Interaction
- Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and client events.
- Speak confidently about solutions and respond to prospect questions.
- Build trusted relationships through consultative discussions with potential clients.
Collaborations and Communication
- Partner with the Business Development team to support pursuit strategies.
- Maintain timely and accurate CRM records of all activities, leads, and opportunities.
- Share client and market insights with the Business Development team to inform strategies.
Sales Support & Opportunity Development
- Assist in preparing client-facing presentations, proposals, and supporting materials.
- Support targeted outreach campaigns and pre-sales efforts.
- Coordinate follow-up activities to ensure prospects move through the sales cycle.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Complete required training modules and maintain compliance with internal protocols.

Qualifications:Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles.
- Demonstrated success generating qualified opportunities and building client relationships.
- Experience representing a company at industry conferences, exhibitions, or client events.
Behavioral Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently engage prospects.

- Ability to travel for industry conferences, exhibitions, and client events.
- Regular use of a computer, phone, and related office equipment.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based, with flexibility for hybrid work depending on location.
