We’re looking for a visionary VP of Software Engineering & Architecture to lead our software engineering strategy, guide our architecture roadmap, and ensure our technology delivers on our mission to simplify financial experiences for our partners and customers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the external software engineering team, driving architectural direction and ensuring the successful design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions.
- Partner with Product, Application, and Support teams to design enhancements for simplified integration and improved capabilities.
- Oversee software codebase quality, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, industry best practices, and information security requirements (including PCI standards).
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of architects, engineers, developers, QA professionals, and contractors to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Utilize Scaled Agile ceremonies to align delivery priorities, enhance collaboration across teams, and ensure efficient, focused execution.
- Collaborate with Partner, Product, and Solution teams to refine requirements, manage expectations, and maintain transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct competitive intelligence to evaluate integration processes, keeping our software competitive and industry-aligned.
- Engage with vendors and partners to commercialize products at scale, enhancing market reach and product offerings.
- Actively identify and remove distractions or barriers to team focus and delivery success.
- Oversee end-to-end quality assurance processes to ensure all deliverables meet technical and security standards.
- Lead special projects and take on additional responsibilities as assigned to drive organizational growth and innovation.

Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MSc/MA) in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, with demonstrated leadership success.
- Experience in Fintech and/or Payments industry strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in software development and coding in languages such as Ruby, C#, .NET, Java, etc.
- Experience with API design, architecture principles, and PCI or similar security requirements.
- Cloud-based solution expertise (AWS preferred).
- Knowledge of software quality assurance, scalable system design, and enterprise integration.
