We have an exciting opening to hire a Consumer Insights Analyst at our Development Center in Lebanon, Ohio. The Consumer Insights Analyst performs a wide range of functions for the Consumer Insights Team. Responsible for day-to-day project management and managing, designing, and conducting consumer, product and market research studies for assigned categories.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Project Management:

  • Handle coordination of multiple concurrent ongoing studies for the team
  • Work in cooperation with various departments for timely coordination and development of research studies
  • Maintain organization and accuracy in team files
  • Handle special tasks and projects as requested to meet company objectives
  • Assist with the creation of study materials including online surveys, intercept surveys, and discussion guides
  • Conduct relevant secondary research to supplement projects

Interaction with consumers:

  • Including but not limited to coordinating logistics in consumer testing, working booths at shows, moderating focus groups and conducting individual interviews
  • Transcribe focus groups and individual interviews
  • Grow and maintain consumer databases
  • Maintain flexibility outside normal working hours with occasional nights, weekends and up to 20% travel expectation for research purposes

 

On The Ground Research:

  • Understand and track current and new food/beverage offerings via online and in-person research

 

Interacts with:

  • All internal departments
  • MANE global affiliates
  • Customers
  • Outside research partners and trend companies

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a preference in Marketing or Psychology
  • Minimum two years of experience in consumer insights, product, market research and analytics, preferably in the flavor industry or market research agency
  • Knowledge in the design, execution and analysis of qualitative and quantitative consumer research
  • Skillset in storytelling with data; transforming data into insights and recommendations especially when constrained by budget and deadline

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • High level of curiosity to uncover consumer who, how, why
  • Strong interest in new food/beverage products, innovation and specifically the flavor industry
  • Intermediate skillset in Microsoft Suite applications and Canva Design
  • Familiarity and literacy in social media platforms
  • Time management
  • Proactive and independent researcher; ability to self-manage and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
