Job Summary
The Lawndale Elementary School District has two opening for Instructional Assistants - Health Care. These positions accumulate one paid vacation and sick day per month of employment. In addition, LESD provides a $1,000 per year career enrichment program for employees. Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Resume required
- High School Diploma (or GED) required
- CPR and First Aid Certificates - must be Valid required
- 48 Units or an Associate Degree (or greater) degree from an accredited college/university is preferred.
- Some experience working with school-age children in an organized setting is desirable .
Mitchell School - 1 position - 30 hrs/week
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:15 am - 3:00 pm / Thursday 8:15 -1:15pm
Anderson School - 1 position - 30 hrs/week
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:15 am - 3:00 pm/ Thursday 8:15-1:15pm

Special Note: The Health Care exam is a two-part scantron exam, one-hour IA test, and a 45-minute Health Care test. You must pass the IA exam to move to the next one. All applicants must take and pass both multiple choice scantron test with a score of 70% or better. Applications without required documents will not be considered for next steps
10.4.5 If a permanent employee requests to transfer to a vacant position within the same classification offering more hours, and the employee’s most recent performance evaluation reflects a minimal overall rating of meeting standards, then such transfer shall be based on seniority within the classification and/or individual student needs.
