About Your Role

Step into a pivotal role within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, where you'll be a key contributor to a high-performing tax team and the wider Group Finance function. This role is central to ensuring the Group meets its tax reporting, filing, and payment obligations across both direct and indirect taxes, while also driving improvements in the Group’s tax control environment.

Ideal for a qualified tax professional with or a part-qualified candidate with at least two years in a tax-focused role, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow, influence, and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities – What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting with the preparation of tax disclosures for inclusion in the Group and subsidiary company statutory accounts.
  • Preparation and submission of the corporation tax returns for Group companies.
  • Preparation of UK VAT returns..
  • Reviewing and looking for improvements in the tax control environment for the Group and maintaining all relevant supporting documentation.
  • Providing support to the wider business alongside the Head of Tax with ad hoc projects and advising on the tax implications of such projects.

About You – What you’ll bring to the Role

You’re a tax professional with proven experience in tax,—gained either in industry or within a professional services firm. You have a solid understanding of corporate tax,, and experience in preparing or reviewing tax disclosures for statutory accounts and you're ready to take the next step in your career.

Ideally, you’re CTA, ACA, ACCA qualified or part-qualified, and you’re confident communicating clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally. You’re highly numerate, analytical, and able to interpret and summarise complex information to support sound decision-making.

This role is a great fit if you're looking to move from practice into industry or your next industry role, offering a strong foundation to build your tax career. Training and development are actively supported, and you’ll benefit from working alongside colleagues with deep knowledge and long-standing experience in the business.

While not essential, experience with VAT returns, Alphatax software, or preparing tax disclosures under IFRS would be a welcome bonus.
