About the role
As a Solutions Architect within our privacy program, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering end-to-end technology solutions that enable compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). With a foundation in privacy and data architecture, you will ensure technical integrity throughout the solution lifecycle and align with enterprise standards, business objectives, and technical strategy. Collaborating closely with stakeholders across business and technology domains, you will drive innovation, delivery efficiency, and ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, and adaptable to future needs—helping us protect customer trust and meet our regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities.
- Develop solution architectures for complex systems, ensuring they align with stakeholder requirements.
- Manage target state designs and maintain traceability to project requirements, enterprise architecture frameworks, and privacy obligations under the APPs.
- Design and communicate architecture artifacts to guide the development of integrated, secure, and compliant solutions.
- Ensure solutions balance functional, non-functional, and systems management needs, including data protection and consent management.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to delivery teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, strategic direction, and privacy compliance goals.
- This is a 21-month fixed term contract.
About you
- Proven experience in solution architecture across complex enterprise environments with a strong knowledge of industry standards, data platforms and privacy.
- Experience in customer management systems and the customer data lifecycle, with a focus on data quality, consent, and retention.
- Understanding of Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act Amendment Act 2024, and frameworks such as the OAIC’s APP guidelines, with the ability to apply them to technical solutions.
- Proficiency in data architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a talent for presenting complex ideas, clearly.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Architect) are a plus.
