Position Description:

Prime Solutions Group (PSG), Inc. is seeking  a Staff DevSecOps Engineer to support a high-profile program with a major defense customer. This program delivers a Model-Based Systems  Engineering (MBSE) cloud platform that manages and analyzes digital   engineering data, enabling a seamless digital thread, tool interoperability, and AI-ready data structures.


In this role, you will engineer and sustain modern enterprise cloud infrastructure supporting Linux, Windows, containerized   applications, virtualized systems, and enterprise-scale DevSecOps pipelines. You will help drive automation, workflow orchestration, and CI/CD integration in one of the government’s most complex and mission-critical digital environments.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to enable scalable, repeatable deployments.
  • Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for databases, servers, and applications using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Foreman, GitLab, and Selenium.
  • Configure and manage IdAM, Active Directory, and LDAP integrations.
  • Engineer containerized solutions and orchestrated workflows (e.g., Kubernetes, Rancher).
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (guides, diagrams, architecture docs).
  • Prepare and deliver technical briefings to government stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Develop and execute automated testing plans for security and functional requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud and infrastructure issues with speed and rigor.
  • Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team, contributing to sprints, JIRA tasks, and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility with CI Poly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, cloud engineering, or enterprise IT.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
  • Proven expertise with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and solution design skills.
  • Experience with cloud architecture (AWS preferred, Azure considered).
  • Proficiency in scripting/integration using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and task management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply solid engineering rigor and system validation practices.
  • Experience with DevOps tooling (Foreman, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Preferred skills or experience:

  •  Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environments (Cameo, Teamwork Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Rancher).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/analytics tools (Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace).
  • Experience with ServiceNow integration.
  • SharePoint or IBM Enterprise Lifecycle Management experience.
  • Exposure to multiple cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, IBM).
  • Expertise with API gateways, catalogs, and integration layers.
  • Experience developing automated test plans with tools such as Selenium.
  • Ability to lead systems engineering  perspectives across infrastructure, cloud, and security domains.
  • Tableau or other analytics integration experience.
