ME262 - Full-Time Live-in House Manager - Washington, DC at British American Household Staffing

A principal seeks a proactive live-in house manager for a large property in Washington, DC. The candidates will work directly with the principal. You must have a strong command of the English language, and the ability to speak Spanish is a huge plus. You must be able to take direction as well as be proactive. This is not a 9-5pm job, but more on-demand while the principal is in town and more flexible while he is away traveling.

• General handyman tasks within the home and grounds, overseeing day-to-day operations and management of the household
• Maintain the exterior of the home, property, and cars, fix anything that needs repair, and/or deal with the appropriate vendors, and follow maintenance protocols for monthly/seasonal/annual checklists of the home, grounds, and structures
• Scheduling, vetting, and overseeing service trades, keeping track of inventory and household supplies, and ensuring items are stocked and replenished promptly
• Some travel is required to his East Hampton and Miami
• Small handyman tasks such as changing a light bulb, hanging a photo, and fixing a leaky faucet, yet knowing when to call a pro
• Utilize computer skills to keep appropriate maintenance logs and documentation current
