We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and enthusiastic professional to lead our Aquatic Facility and Activities. The official title is Aquatics Manager, but it really is a “Director of Fun-Quatics!” You will work hard, but you will also bring the fun to this position. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a community-centered environment and is dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and welcoming aquatic experience.
The aquatics manager oversees daily operations of the pool complex during the swim season. This includes staffing, programming, engaging activities, and above all, safety while ensuring the highest standards of safety and hospitality.
As Aquatics Manager, you will oversee daily operations of the pool complex, including safety, staffing, programming, and member services. You will design and deliver innovative aquatic programs—ranging from swim lessons and water fitness classes to competitive swim team activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, lead, train, schedule, and oversee a team of lifeguards, instructors, seasonal, and adjunct staff.
- Manage daily pool operations, including water safety, cleanliness, and compliance with local health codes.
- Develop and promote engaging aquatic programs and special events.
- Provide exceptional service and a welcoming environment for members and their families.
- Monitor budgets, payroll, and program performance to ensure operational excellence.
- Coordinate and oversee all swim and dive competitions along with individual and team swim training.

Requirements
Our preferred candidate is a strong leader and communicator with a passion for aquatics, hospitality, and member engagement. The non-negotiables include:
- Prior experience managing an aquatic facility or comparable recreation program.
- Current certification and qualification to train and certify lifeguards.
- Proven ability to recruit, train, and inspire staff.
- Organizational and managerial skills with attention to safety, service, and programming quality.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for building community through aquatic experiences.
