Intermediate District 287 is looking for a qualified Educational Support Professional for Northern Star Online.
Northern Star Online supports students looking for high school level courses online that are designed with leading the way in virtual learning. The consortium comprises 15 independent school districts and 4 educational service agencies representing over 50 school districts. Our partners share expertise and resources to provide online learners with the finest online learning experience.
Responsibilities:

Provide proactive, student-centered support to help students stay on pace in their asynchronous online courses.

Offer strategies for engagement, time management, and organizational skills to promote academic success.

Assist students in navigating the online learning platform and respond to student questions in a timely and supportive manner.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and share relevant insights or concerns.

Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and positive virtual environment that supports student well-being and belonging.

Pay & Benefits:
- Salary is based on Local 2209 Salary Schedule B: $20.65 - $29.02 per hour (depending on experience and education)

Education & Experience Requirements:
- Interested in candidates who are: diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations.
- High school diploma or a general education development (GED) certificate
- Two (2) years of full-time employment or equivalent working with individuals in an environment that provides broad familiarity and understanding of the physical and emotional behaviors and challenges of children with exceptional needs
- Substitution Allowed: College training may be substituted for the General Experience
