PacAero’s core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.

The Position:

Pacific Aerospace & Electronics (PacAero) is seeking two Production associates to join our team in a Production Assembly role. We are looking for hard-working and eager individuals with attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination. This role offers a chance to develop valuable skills in prep for firing while contributing to our team's success.

These positions are both for Day Shift. See shift details.

Shift Details:

• Day Shift 4x10: Monday through Thursday 4:00am to 2:30pm.
• Night Shift 4x10: Monday through Thursday 2:15pm to 12:45am; Includes a $2/hr Shift premium. (Will train on Day Shift for 1-2 months)
• Weekend Day Shift: Friday through Sunday 5:00am to 6:00pm (earlier leave time if waiving 2nd lunch); Includes a $2/hr Shift premium. Includes 4 stock hours to round up to a 40 hour work week. (Will train on Day Shift for 1-2 months)

Primary Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with all employees.
• Willing to adapt work schedule to company needs.
• Attendance / Punctuality: Is consistently at work and on time.
• Demonstrate the ability to accurately and efficiently use applicable measuring tools such as, but not limited to Calipers, Micrometers and Height Gage.
• Demonstrate a basic ability to read and comprehend drawings and other applicable documentation.
• Perform the following assembly functions:
• Part marking
• Knowledge of blasting equipment using various media.
• Heli-coil installation.
• Interfacial seal installation.
• Hand or mechanical lapping.
• Use of pin cutting equipment.
• Use of kilns and belt furnace for ceramic and glass sealing parts.
• Use of vacuum furnaces for brazing/heat treating.
• Resistance welding.
• Pin bending
• Engraving
• Applying chemical film
• Proficient usage of microscope.
• Ability to learn and use applicable area equipment.
• Must be able to install hardware of different variations.
• Must have the ability to work in harsh environments.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by area Senior I or Senior II.
• Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to Management personnel.
• Follow daily clean up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work related rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Have a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Degree
• Have good hand/eye coordination and be willing to learn to work with a microscope for extended periods of time
• Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
• Be able to follow instructions, retain information, and have legible handwriting
• Be willing to work with hazardous chemicals after learning proper safety procedures and while wearing PPE
• Be a self-starter and seek out additional duties
• Be punctual and strive for perfect attendance
• Previous solder experience preferred
