If so, we are searching for an experienced and proactive leader to lead and develop our Product Analytics Engineering & Experimentation team!
Job Description:In this role as a Lead Product Analyst and Experimentation (m/f/d), you will cover the following key topics:
Lead & Mentor
This is a critical, high-impact role where you will be a "player-coach," responsible for both leading a talented team as well as shaping how we do experiments across fink.
Technical Strategy & Vision
- Partnering with product and engineering teams to develop our event-tracking concepts across our web and mobile platforms, ensuring scalability and quality.
- Work closely with our data-platform team, building a vision for our analytics future.
Data Quality
Own the data modeling of our consumer application data delivering high quality and trusted data to our stakeholders.
Experimentation Best Practices and Advocacy
- Act as our experimentation ambassador across the company, serving as the point of contact for guiding design, execution, and interpretation of experiments. Build an experimentation culture that is both effective and bold, supporting our decision-making going forward.
- Additionally, you will be driving initiatives with the goal of making sure we experiment in an effective way, leading to smart data-driven development and decision making
Analytics Engineering & Tracking
You will own the entire lifecycle of product data—from event tracking instrumentation and data modeling to ensuring data quality to deriving insights from the data to help us shape the future of quick-commerce online grocery shopping.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Closely collaborate with the Engineering & Product managers to identify the areas where analytics engineering is required and be part of the discovery process
- Work with business stakeholders making sure that our data acquisition and models can serve their use-cases.
- Play a leading role in the analytics community - making sure we build a scalable, efficient and trusted data ecosystem.
Experienced Leader: 5+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or a related field, with at least 2+ years in a leadership, management, or senior mentorship capacity.
Technical Expert:
- Expert proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience building and maintaining data models, preferably with a tool like dbt.
- Strong experience with event tracking design and implementation using platforms like Segment, Snowplow, or Amplitude.
- Proficiency in a scripting language for data analysis (e.g., Python or R).
- Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses (we use BigQuery).
Experimentation Guru:
- Deep, practical knowledge of experimentation, including A/B test design and analysis, switch backtesting, and geolift.
- Solid understanding of the underlying statistical concepts (e.g., statistical power, confidence intervals, p-values, segmentation).
Proactive & Communicative Leader:
- You are a proactive self-starter who identifies problems and opportunities without waiting to be asked.
- A proven mentor who enjoys developing and empowering your team members.
- Possess great communication skills, capable of clearly articulating a technical vision and presenting complex results to diverse stakeholders.
