Job Description:Platform Engineers ensure the continued successful operation of technology platforms, minimising any disruptions that can impact client experience. They are accountable for ensuring high availability, resilience and security of platforms as well as business operations/services; incorporating automation to reduce repetition. They perform operations activities for platforms such as managing availability, capacity, service levels, support, upgrades and patching.
Provide support to development and implementation through testing, systems integration, configuration and installation; and post-implementation support. They actively contribute to the ongoing continual improvement of Platform Engineering practices, methods and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, verify, test, document, and maintain moderately complex software using standard tools and practices.
- Install and remove hardware/software, troubleshoot issues, document changes, and provide client support
- Define and execute test cases, report results, and identify risks/issues in line with requirements.
- Maintain infrastructure, report on required changes, automate deployments/provisioning, and assist in resolving operational issues.
- Provide assisted guidance in specific areas, collaborate with others, and recognise personal knowledge limits.
- Monitor and manage resource usage, support planning, and apply demand control techniques.
About you
- The occupant of this position will hold a relevant degree with at least 4 years' subsequent relevant experience.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.
What we can offer
This is a continuing opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University, you may be required to work across other campuses.
HEW 6 salary range - $91,843 - $97,964 + 17% superannuation. Total salary package range - $107,456 - $114,618.
