WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE 

The Food Service Production Worker will be responsible for placing finished master bags/cartons/trays on pallets, observing all safety regulations. The candidate will ensure all GMP (good manufacturing practices) and quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product though the production process.

  • Obtain work schedules, daily production paperwork, and prepare for operations
  • Ensure that all safety devices are functioning properly
  • Rotate through line stations every two hours or as directed
  • Ensure that the proper packaging supplies (bag rolls/cartons/trays) are positioned to assigned workstation
  • Built carton/tray IFCO by hand by folding flaps down and push tabs into locked position
  • Apply sticker with code date, product code, and slide box down chute or stack as required
  • Seal carton manually manipulate full carton/tray/IFCO on packing conveyer, fold flaps on top down and tuck them into place
  • Stack/palletize- manually place carton/bag/ tray/IFCO on the correct pallet according to proper stack pattern
  • Remove defective bags from pack line and place into rework totes
  • Notify supervisor of any out of place objects or items
  • Assemble IFCO trays, build totes and line them with plastic as required
  • Sweep and shovel carrots; keep area clear, clean, and place trash/non- conforming product in proper receptacles
  • Perform other duties as assigned


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED or one to three months of related field experience or a combination of both education and experience

Required Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work as a team and follow instructions
  • Ability to use the equipment and tools used to perform the job
  • Good mathematical skills (such as adding and subtracting)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Three months to six months experience in a production facility
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Ability to ascend and descend ramps, steps, ladders, stairs using three-point contact
  • Environment exposure_ hot/humid conditions (95 °Fahrenheit  or above).
  • Environmental exposure –cold/wet conditions (40 °Fahrenheit  or below)
  • Material exposure-moving mechanical parts
  • Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as fumes, airborne particles and vibrations.
  • Must be able to lift/push-pull/carry up to 50-55 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period

HOURS & WORKDAYS: 

  • 2nd shift 5pm - 1:30am; Monday - Friday. Occasionally Saturdays; Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be mandatory based on business/department needs
