Job Description
Jumpmind is looking for a Software Engineer - Implementation, who is passionate about solving difficult problems with creative software solutions, to join an exciting, growing information technology company. This role plays a vital part in the implementation of retail software for new customers, as well as the ongoing feature development for existing customers that influence the roadmap for Jumpmind Commerce.

Requirements
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, code, demonstrate, document, and test software in modern software languages (e.g. Java, Angular) tailored to retail clients’ needs
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product managers, quality engineers and designers, to enhance user experience for retail environments
- Serve as a technical consultant, working closely with retail clients and implementation partners to understand customer operations and requirements
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve 3rd and 4th tier technical issues to minimize disruptions for clients
- Implement software updates and patches based on client feedback and changing business requirements
- Integrate software with multiple database platforms and external systems/platforms
- Evaluate and identify new technologies for adoption
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with retail clients through excellent communication and service
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years software development experience using modern software languages with exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with database (eg, SQL, Postgres, MongoDB), data storage fundamentals, and API integrations
- Experience with source code control software
- Understanding of and experience with Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps concepts
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Experience working directly with clients/customers in an agile development environment
- Familiarity with POS hardware including card readers, barcode scanners, and receipt printers
- Understanding of retail technology workflows (Customer Engagement, Omni Channel, Inventory Management, etc).
- Previous experience with Angular and UI/UX for desktop and mobile devices
- Strong working knowledge of Cloud infrastructure
