POSITION OVERVIEW
The Rental Coordinator is charged with the day-to-day operation of the commercial rental department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional service to our customers while maximizing sales opportunities
- Ensure rental trucks are ready for customer use
- Rental fleet equipment management
- Develop and maintain relationships with rental customers
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Maintain policies and procedures for Rental Operations, to include check-in/check-out of equipment, vehicle files, customer files, rental agreement preparation, and daily yard check
- Daily interaction with the Service Department to ensure rental equipment is maintained according to company standards and DOT regulations
- Develop and maintain a system for daily yard checks and reporting of Rental utilization to management
- Follow company procedures regarding credit policies
- Develop and maintain a rental billing routine to insure accurate and timely billing of rental charges to customers
- Create an environment to ensure cleanliness, safety, and customer focus
- Safeguard company assets by maintaining strong internal controls
Salary range for Rental Coordinator (depending on experience level) can range from $47,000 - $80,000 + commission opportunities.
ACTIVITY AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Employee safety is a prime concern of RWC. This position is not a safety sensitive position (unless moving customer vehicle is required at your location) and may fall under the requirements of the RWC Drug and Alcohol policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects / work streams
- High school diploma
- 2+ years in customer service focused role
- Must be at least 21 and have a valid driver's license
Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a pre-hire drug and alcohol test.
