We are looking for an on-site, strategic and hands-on IT Director to lead the technological function within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing an IT strategy that supports production efficiency, operational continuity, and business growth. The IT Director will oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, and all technology services across the organization—ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance systems that meet the unique demands of a manufacturing environment. This leader will drive continuous improvement, scalability, and innovation across all IT assets and processes.

Responsibilities
- Leads the development and execution of strategic IT plans to support organizational goals and operational efficiency
- Manages IT projects - outlining key actions, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Collaborates with leadership to define department objectives, enforce policies, and ensure alignment with business priorities
- Oversees IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are current, effective, compliant, and accessible to all users
- Continuously evaluates emerging technologies and presents recommendations to leadership
- Recruits, trains, and manages IT staff; sets clear expectations and evaluates performance
- Ensures compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory standards, including ITAR, NIST, and CMMC
- Conducts research to assess and recommend hardware/software solutions aligned with business strategy
- Performs system audits to verify effectiveness of implemented technologies
- Maintains disaster recovery (DR) and information security protocols to safeguard assets
- Manages IT budgets, forecasts resource needs, and oversees expenditures
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading IT operations within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001) and hands-on experience preparing for and managing regulatory audits
- Strong technical expertise in ERP systems (Epicor preferred), Windows 10/11 and Server OS, network infrastructure, security, and communication systems including VoIP
- Strategic, business-minded leadership that aligns technology initiatives with organizational objectives, drives continuous improvement, and prioritizes quality, efficiency, and operational excellence
- Previous management of a Microsoft SQL Database
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to adapt to change, manage ambiguity, and consistently deliver high-quality results in fast-paced environments
- Strong leadership, accountability, and collaboration skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams, drive project ownership, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plan to ensure minimal disruption to operations during system outages, cyberattacks, or natural disasters
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of network administration experience, or equivalent work experience; or vocational education or equivalent, plus 3-5 years of experience with PC network environment
- Valid state driver’s license for travel between facilities
- High School diploma and GED required
