Summary:
Responsible for performing in-house servicing and repair of company products by diagnosing mechanical, hardware, software and system failures using established procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and repair scale and balance products
- Answer service-related calls on our technical support telephone hotline
- Perform calibration testing of products
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Test any returned equipment for credit disposition
- Identify spare parts needed for repair of units
- Inputs repairs into repair database for tracking purposes
Necessary Experience and Skills:
- Associates degree in technical field or equivalent experience. Metrology Degree Preferred
- 2+ years’ experience with electronic repair. Metrology experience a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, as needed
- The ability to express oneself clearly in conversations and interactions with others.
- The ability to demonstrate concern for satisfying one’s external and/or internal customers.
- The ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.
- The ability to demonstrate depth of knowledge and skills in electronics.
- Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it.
- Understands the importance of using safety equipment and following safety procedures to protect oneself and others.
