Primary Objective of Bellman Position

As a Bellman Driver, you serve as a key front-line representative, welcoming guests and enhancing their experience throughout their stay. Your responsibilities include greeting and assisting guests upon arrival and departure, handling luggage with care, and providing safe, timely transportation services. In addition to these core duties, you play an important role in supporting the overall flow and operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth coordination between departments and maintaining a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure

 

Responsibilities

    • Welcomes and escorts guests upon arrival; exhibits courteous manners in accordance with Bartell Hotels standards.
    • Assists guests with baggage to/from the Front Office and/or Guest Rooms
    • Increases guest-utilization of hotel facilities by promoting hotel restaurants and other services and facilities to guests
    • Maintains working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to respond to guest questions in these areas as required
    • Stores and receives guest baggage when requested; issues completed claim checks to guests when storing baggage
    • Contacts local ground transportation, assisting guests as needed into vehicle
    • Provide assistance with incoming/outgoing packages 
    • Delivers phone messages, mail or packages, candy, telegrams, flowers, etc., to guest rooms
    • Collects and returns outgoing guest laundry and dry cleaning
    • Provide transportation for guest from lobby or other areas of the hotel as needed
    • Maintains the upkeep and appearance of the hotel lobby, entrance, and baggage storage areas, to include light cleaning
    • Contributes to the overall security of the hotel by reporting any unusual occurrences to front desk staff
    • Reports entrance of unauthorized, undesirable, or suspicious people to security
    • Requires valid driver’s license and clean driving record,
    • Transport hotel guests to Sea World Airport and/or local attractions in company vehicle
    • Maintains company vehicle consisting of washing, cleaning, and fueling.
    • Drive company vehicle to the corporate office for inter-office mail delivery/pick-up
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed 

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment 

Whileperforming the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand;walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk orhear and taste or smell.  The employee is frequently required to climb orbalance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as frequently liftingand/or moving up to 100 pounds.  Theemployee must also be able to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying75 pounds.  The employee is sometimesexposed to outside weather conditions and the noise level in the workenvironment is usually moderate.
