We are seeking a reliable and hardworking bilingual individual (English and Spanish) to join our team at our Tampa branch as a Commercial Driver Class A or B and Warehouse Associate. This dual role includes driving responsibilities throughout the State of Florida, as well as warehouse duties to support efficient operations and timely deliveries.
Role Responsibilities:
- Driving Duties:
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver metal products to customers in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ensure timely delivery of products to customers and clients.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other team members.
- Provide excellent customer service and handle any issues that arise during transport.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies, such as accidents or mechanical failures, and report them to the appropriate authorities.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company policies
- Warehouse Duties:
- Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing company products.
- Prepare orders for shipment and ensure accuracy.
- Perform regular inventory checks and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Monitor and report any damaged or defective products to management.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
- Must have physical strength and stamina to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment safely and consistently throughout the shift.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, including hot, cold, and humid conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders or step stools and work at heights when necessary.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling materials.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as work gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, rain gear and hard hat.
- Must always follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse machinery.
- Must report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B, with a clean driving record.
- Bilingual, fluent English and Spanish.
- Proven experience in a warehouse and driving role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
