Passenger Driver at Woodberry Forest School

Woodberry Forest School, located in Madison, VA,  is an exceptional private boarding school community for high school boys in grades nine through twelve. It is one of the top boarding schools in the United States and one of the only all-boys, all-boarding schools in the country. Woodberry's 1,200-acre campus is the largest for boarding schools in Virginia, and one of the largest private school campuses in the country.

Drivers at Woodberry are responsible for safely transporting students and coaches to their required destination and back safely.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Maintains cleanliness of buses and vans.
• Transports the school teams to their required destination for all games and student activities.
• Drives students to airports, colleges and doctor appointments.
• Prepares and verifies route before driving.
• Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Keeps records of trips and/or behavior of passengers.
• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:   

• 5 years of experience driving comparable vehicles.
• Punctuality – All drivers must be very aware of time and show up early to take boys on any trips.  Also time very important when picking up boys at airports.
• Good verbal communication and attention to detail skills.
• Must be flexible and safety conscious. 
• High school diploma or GED required
• Current valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
