Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Administrator / O365 Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our Microsoft 365 (M365) environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft 365 applications, security, and administration, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for all users. This role involves maintaining and enhancing services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and other M365 tools, while implementing best practices for security, compliance, and collaboration.
Core Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune
- Manage user accounts, provisioning, licenses, and security policies in Microsoft Entra ID, deprovisioning and the M365 Admin Center
- Monitor and troubleshoot M365 services to ensure high availability and performance
- Configure and enforce security policies including MFA, Conditional Access, and compliance settings to ensure proper governance and data protection in-line with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Microsoft Azure Entra and other security tools to protect against phishing and cyber threats
- Develop and implement governance policies for data retention, compliance, and secure collaboration
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Power Automate
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues; provide escalation support for end users and IT colleagues
- Provide end-user training, and promote best practices to improve adoption and efficiency
- Monitor and report system performance, usage, and adoption; generate reports to inform IT leadership
- Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates and recommend improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience managing Microsoft 365 / O365 environments
- Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and Microsoft Entra ID
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
- Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 security features including Azure, DLP, and Conditional Access
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview (compliance), and Intune for device management
- Experience troubleshooting M365 services and working with Microsoft support
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support end users and technical teams
Preferred Experience
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator Associate) or SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator Associate)
- Knowledge of Power Platform tools including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps
