Summary

The Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, material handling, and internal logistics within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that materials and components are available at the right place and time to support production schedules, while maintaining optimal inventory levels and accuracy. The supervisor leads a team responsible for warehouse operations, material movement, and inventory systems, and collaborates closely with production, procurement, and planning teams.  

Responsibilities 

  • Analyzing production schedules and demand forecasts to determine material requirements while developing and maintaining inventory management strategies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize excess inventory. 
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage. 
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; analyze variances and implement corrective actions. 
  • Oversee the movement of materials and components within the facility to support production lines. 
  • Design and optimize internal logistics workflows, including material staging, kitting, and line-side delivery. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate material replenishment using lean principles (e.g., Kanban, JIT) 
  • Collaborating with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of materials while monitoring and managing inventory turnover to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Utilizing ERP systems to track inventory levels, manage orders, and generate reports on material usage to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material-related issues and ensure smooth operations 
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes and plan and communicate the plant’s daily production to ensure customer demands are met. 
  • Manage, train, and develop a team of inventory specialists, material handlers, and forklift operators. 
  • Set performance goals, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management and internal logistics in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SyteLine). 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of warehouse safety standards preferred. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Familiarity with ISO or other quality management systems. 
  • Experience in SyteLine ERP system preferred 

 

Location: This position is located on-site in Longmont, CO.

Base Compensation: $59,500 - $86,300 is the projected range of annual base salary for this role depending on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.
