Position Description

Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees in a correctional institution. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting in a correctional facility and may require a high degree of contact with patients, facility staff, and other partners.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Assist with Telehealth presenting.
  • Ensure continuity of care for specialty telehealth clinics.
  • Coordinate clinic operations
  • Patient throughput management.
  •  Process provider notes for accurate and complete information
  • Manage reminders in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Take vital signs 
  • Respond to all requests in a timely manner as required and necessary for effective communication
  • Support the goal of the unit by attending meetings.
  • Effectively participate in the overall goals of the Managed Care team. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 1 year of experience using medical and behavioral health terminology in a clinical setting, including EMR-based scheduling, note processing, reminder management, clinic operations support, and Telehealth coordination

Required Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Three years progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal three years may substitute on a year for year basis.
