12-Month (260 day), full time position / 8 hours per day
Hourly rate: $16.34 (meets minimum requirements) OR $18.00 (associate degree or higher in Office Management)
This position is benefits eligible including medical, prescription, dental, and voluntary vision coverage
Full-time, 12-month staff are awarded 14 PTO, 11 paid holidays, and 10 vacation days annually
Position Summary Under general supervision, performs routine and detailed secretarial tasks. Provides general office support to staff involving routine clerical duties requiring general knowledge of basic office systems and procedures. Reports directly to the Building Administrator(s).
Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., General Educational Development (GED), foreign equivalency, etc.).
Two (2) years of clerical experience, preferably in an educational environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of basic record keeping practices.
Knowledge of basic Hamburg Area School District work policies and guidelines; knowledge of departmental practices and procedures.
Ability to understand, explain, and apply written and oral instructions, practices, and procedures.
Ability to clearly communicate information, verbally and in writing.
Ability to access, operate, and maintain various software applications; ability to read, update, and maintain various records and files, ability to learn job specific computer software applications.
May require the ability to operate specialized communications or office equipment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with District employees, students, parents, and the general public.
Ability to work without direct supervision to carry out assignments to completion; ability to meet predetermined deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work flexible hours or shifts as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
Ability to recognize and report hazards and apply safe work methods.
Possess physical and mental stamina commensurate with the responsibilities of the position

Perform various secretarial tasks, including the operation of various business machines and record keeping.
Responsible for collecting, distributing, processing, filing, and secure retention of department/division records.
Manage collection of funds and deposits on a timely basis.
File correspondence, bulletins, reports, records, materials, and other documents according to appropriate departmental guidelines; may retrieve files upon request.
Establish, collect, organize, and maintain data pertaining to assigned clerical tasks.
May photocopy, scan, sort, staple, and/or distribute documents, as requested.
May sort documents and prepare envelopes for mass mailings, as directed.
Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.
Conform to safety standards, as prescribed.
Perform related duties consistent with job description and assignment.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

The employee is frequently required to compare, copy, coordinate, instruct and negotiate. The employee is occasionally required to evaluate, analyze, compute, compile and synthesize. Evaluation Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with School Board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of non-licensed personnel.
