Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)Behavior Technician(BT) – Paid School Coverage Position

Location: Nassau County, NY
Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour (based on experience & certification)
Job Type: On-Call / Part-Time, Full Time)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Paid On-Call from 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM. If called, you will work a full school day.
Work Setting: School-Based (Elementary, Middle, and High Schools)

Dragonfly Cares is a mission-driven organization focused on empowering children with autism and developmental differences to thrive in school settings. We provide high-quality, school-based ABA services that support academic, social, and behavioral growth directly in the classroom environment.

We partner with school districts across Nassau County to provide skilled RBTs and Behavior Technicians. We are currently hiring coverage staff to be on-call weekday mornings to fill in for other RBTs as needed-a key role in ensuring uninterrupted student support.

What You'll Do:

• Be available on-call Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM to provide same-day school coverage when needed

• Travel to assigned school sites in Nassau County to provide 1:1 ABA therapy and behavioral support under BCBA supervision

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans

• Collect accurate data on student behavior and progress

• Communicate with teachers, school staff, and clinical supervisors to support student success

• Maintain professional documentation in line with school and insurance requirements

• Participate in ongoing training and supervision

Who We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field (required)

• RBT certification (preferred)

• Must be available 7 AM - 4PM for school coverage

• Prior school-based experience (classroom, special education, or related setting required)

• Minimum 2 years of ABA experience (preferred)

• Strong communication, teamwork, and organization skills

• Commitment to consistent weekday availability

• Reliable transportation to school sites throughout Nassau County
