Davidson is seeking an Electronics Production SME, PTOC (Part Time On Call) in Huntsville, Alabama to assist in the development of a new manufacturing line for electromechanical components. In this role, you will work to support production, conduct failure analysis, and implement advanced assembly processes while working and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You will analyze production data and engage in technical discussions to refine designs and ensure compliance with industry standards and production goals, while also participating in regular project status meetings and reviews.
This is a Part Time on Call position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Electrical design, simulation, production, and verification and validation testing of high-speed printed circuit boards (PCB) and/or circuit card assemblies (CCA)
- Collaborate across functional teams to include other engineering disciplines
- Remain knowledgeable and current on industry best-practices and technological advancements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering, math, or related field
- Experience in Product Development Cycles
- 10+ years experience in Technologies such as lead free soldering and no-clean Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process
- 10+ years experience in Production and Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience with micro-electronics packages
- Working knowledge of IEEE315/315A; IEEE Std 91/91A and AS9100
Desired Competencies:
- Knowledge of high-speed digital circuit design; performing signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards (100G Ethernet, DDR2/3/4, PCIe)
- Experience with HyperLynx Signal / Power Integrity; Printed Wiring Boards (PWB); circuit card assemblies; rigid flex board, or harness
- MSEE, MSCE
- Possess the ability to develop design verification plans and perform system integration
- Competency in performing post board layout signal integrity analysis
- Ability to work with peers to solve general Electrical Engineering problems using failure analysis, simulation, and validation activities throughout product development cycles
