Job Summary:

Conducts regular audits of payroll transactions within the UKG Kronos Timekeeping system and the Oracle Payroll System. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Identifies and corrects discrepancies in payroll data. Collaborates with human resources and finance at the markets to improve payroll processes. Prepares audit reports and recommending process improvements. Creates audit tools or reports to assist the markets with verifying their data for accuracy.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree in accounting, finance, buisness administrations, or human resources management or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Three years' related experience: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts payroll audits by regularly reviewing payroll records, timekeeping system, and employee classifications and payrules to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures. Identifies discrepancies for overpayments, underpayments, or unauthorized pay requests.
  • Anlayzes payroll data by using analysis tools (i.e. Power BI), generating reports out of UKG Kronos and Oracle. Analyzes timecards, payslips, and other data related in Oracle.
  • Collaborates with human resources and finance teams to validate data and support internal and external audits and providing documentation (policies, procedures, state law, etc.) to enhance their knowledge on processes.
  • Develops and improves internal controls by recommending process improvements or ensuring that the markets are adhering to company policies, federal, and state regulations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
